The invention of the microcomputer revolutionized human life and it was used in all walks of life.  Electric machine became one of the most important inventions of the planet and initially it was Designed for military purposes. The most important thing about a computer is its microprocessor. When we talk about A.I. we all think that it is very technical term and it has nothing to do with our day to day life, but is has everything to do with our everyday life. It has a very big impact on what we do. Actually, Artificial intelligence impacts most people from morning until now.

Okay let’s take the example of the first thing we do in the morning- checking our phone. Now, everyone would think what is the connection between seeing our mobiles and AI? But when we unlock our mobiles we use face ID or fingerprint and by using them we should know that AI is behind all this. To be specific, the biometrics used in that process is nothing other than AI. Either android or apple both use facial expression captures and it uses machine language to check whether the face is correct or not. But uses of AI don’t stop with opening your phone.

When we use social media AI is working behind the scene. When we refresh feeds, we see people you may know or any friend suggestions AI is the one behind this too. Let’s see how. Because by using these social media sites it tells us what type of posts we like by judging our previous past history.

And its uses don’t end here. When we type messages we get grammatical errors and spelling check, even when we check our mails some are directly sent to spam folders and some in draft, this all is done because of AI. And even the Anti-virus software uses machine learning as well to protect our email accounts. 

So, what’s more now…… there is a lot more …….. Search engine like Google scans what we search and returns what we want to see and these are done only with the help of AI. And even those annoying ads we see are all done by AI. It captures our needs by following us on social media or search engines and then shows us the items that we value. This can be a part of marketing but it is all controlled by AI.

And now when we are so emerged in this AI word it also prevents us to get lost. If we want to reach somewhere even if we don’t know or have heard about that place first time we still reach there safely.  Yes, AI controls all the navigations; it shows us the way and even the traffic in that place so we don’t get lost in any gridlock.

And now let’s check more complicated works. AI is also enabled in our banks. All the transactions are monitored by AI. All the messages we get when we login to our account in mobile, all the low balance alerts, all transactions’ messages that we get are all with the help of AI.

At the end of the day, when we get some time to relax, now AI might not be used but you are wrong. Many of us turn to streaming services such as Netflix. The company's recommendation engine is powered by artificial intelligence and uses your past viewing history to deliver suggestions for what you might want to watch including genres, actors, time periods, and more. Its tool gets as specific as what time of day we were watching and what we traditionally like during that timeframe. In fact, 80% of what we're watching is driven by Netflix's recommendations.

So, it will be hard to imagine any of our daily routines without the help of AI. So till now we already knew how artificial intelligence controls our life. But let’s know what artificial intelligence actually is and how it works. The term "artificial intelligence" is often used to describe machines that mimic functions that humans associate with the human mind, such as "learning" and "problem solving". As machines become increasingly capable, tasks considered to require "intelligence" are often removed from the definition of AI, a phenomenon known as the AI effect. The overall research goal of artificial intelligence is to create technology that allows computers and machines to function in an intelligent manner.

AI is heavily used in robotics. Advanced robotic arms and other industrial robots, widely used in modern factories, can learn from experience how to move efficiently despite the presence of friction and gear slippage. A modern mobile robot, when given a small, static, and visible environment, can easily determine its location and map its environment. And robotics is generally the only place some people think that AI is used but as mentioned above AI is very vast scenario.

Now-a-days it seems that we are not controlling AI but AI is controlling us. We have become so use to of AI that not saying a day even few hours without mobiles seems impossible. AI is not only costlier but is also increasing unemployment. So, it can be concluded that like any other invention AI also comes with its own set of problems. However, it won’t be too optimistic to believe that all these problems will probably be fixed with time, including the issue of unemployment which can be solved with human up skilling.
